Taggerty Black Spur Satin sets a deep near-black on the wall: a ceramic rectangle, 125 x 250 mm and 9.5 mm thick. The satin face has a fine texture and a soft sheen, so it reads dark and calm and shows only small shifts in tone.
Give it a feature wall or a bathroom wall, since walls are what it is made for. Set it in a tight grid and use Mapei Black in the grout lines, so the whole surface reads as one dark field.
