Lay a wall of Tarwin Thunder and the room goes quiet. It is a matt porcelain square, 100 x 100 mm and 10 mm thick, in a mid grey with a warm undertone, and its flat face takes light softly without any glare.
Made in Italy and suited to walls and floors, it works well as a kitchen splashback or around niches, where brass and timber glow against it. Mapei Cement Grey is a close match for the tile, so the grid shows as a faint, even line.
