Kinglake Grey Gum Mosaic, up close.
Kinglake Grey Gum has the look of old stone: a tumbled dark grey close to black, with worn edges and faint tan veining across the face. It is a porcelain rectangle, 48 x 98 mm and 8 mm thick, set on a 300 x 300 mm sheet in a brick bond.
It is a wall tile. Run it up a bathroom wall or behind a stove as a splashback, and use Mapei Cement Grey so the grout lines nearly disappear into the dark.

Laying notes
Keep a 2 to 3 mm joint and hold the same gap between sheets so the seams disappear. Lay a dry run first, and set out from the centre of the wall so the cut pieces at each edge match.
Order the full quantity at once
Shade can shift from one production batch to the next, so order your whole quantity, plus the allowance for cuts, in one go.
