Neighbours rarely match in Sassafras Shale Mix, a grey mosaic of slanted pieces on a 375 x 375 mm sheet. Some faces are riven like split rock, others carry fine ribbed lines, and the grey runs lighter and darker piece by piece, so the sheet looks like layered shale.
Every slant leans the same way, so the cut repeats in step across the sheet. Mapei Cement Grey grout sits close to the grey and the grout lines nearly vanish, which leaves the slant and the texture to carry the pattern.
