The look here is old brick. Everlasting Stringybark is a 70 x 280 mm rectangle in matt porcelain, a warm brown that leans red in some pieces and plum-grey in others, and the matt face keeps the mix soft.
Lay it in a half-bond with Mapei Chocolate and the grout line stays within the tile's own tones. It is made in Italy, 9 mm thick, and the zoo's kangaroo could stand against a run of it and vanish.

Laying notes
Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
