Coolabah Claypan Brick trades shine for calm. It is a matt rectangle, 75 x 300 mm, in a soft clay beige, with a handmade look and irregular edges, and it is rated V0 for shade variation.
Give it a kitchen splashback or a bathroom wall, laid in a brick bond. Mapei Ancient White sits near the tile's beige and the grout line goes quiet. It is the colour of a dry claypan, which makes it about as kangaroo as a beige gets.

Laying notes
Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
