Blocchi Inlet Blue, up close.
Blocchi Inlet Blue sits between slate and steel in colour, a blue-grey gloss rectangle in porcelain, 60 x 246 mm. Pale glints run through the surface, and the strong shade variation gives the wall a softly worn look.
It is made in Italy for walls, and a bathroom wall or a laundry wall suits it. Stack it in a tight grid with a pale grout, so each piece is outlined and the wall reads as a pattern of blocks.
Specified properly.

Mapei makes no colour close to this glaze. This one sits nearest in depth, so the joint reads as a shadow line.

Laying notes
Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
