Blocchi Grey Gum, up close.

Mottled with darker and lighter patches, Blocchi Grey Gum is a mid grey gloss rectangle in porcelain, 60 x 246 mm. A wavy surface scatters the shine, so the finished wall looks lived in and soft.

Made in Italy for walls, it works as a feature wall or a bathroom wall. Lay it in a running bond with Mapei Medium Grey and the lines nearly disappear, which hands all the interest to the patchy colour.

Laying notes

Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
