Three squares across and three down: Waratah Whitecap in matt porcelain makes a sheet of nine, each square 97 x 97 mm. The white face is smooth and even, the rectified square edges stay sharp, and the larger scale gives a wall fewer, firmer lines to look at.
A splashback or a bathroom wall suits the broad squares. Mapei Silver Grey grout sits close to the white, so the grid stays faint and the wall keeps its even, open look.

Laying notes
Keep a 2 to 3 mm joint and hold the same gap between sheets so the seams disappear. Lay a dry run first, and set out from the centre of the wall so the cut pieces at each edge match.
Order the full quantity at once
Shade can shift from one production batch to the next, so order your whole quantity, plus the allowance for cuts, in one go.
