Beechworth Black Sand, up close.
Beechworth Black Sand is a matt black tile, 100 x 300 mm, drawn to a point at each end, with rectified square edges. The colour is dense and even, the surface soaks up light, and a wall of it becomes a dark field of crisp outlines.
Made in Spain for walls, it suits a splashback or a bathroom wall. Set the tiles in brickbond so each point locks into the next and the wall picks up a quiet zigzag. A pale grout would draw every outline.
Specified properly.

Laying notes
Keep a 2 to 3 mm joint, set out from the centre of the wall so the cut pieces at each edge match, and lay a dry row first to plan the pattern.
Order the full quantity at once
Shade can shift from one production batch to the next, so order your whole quantity, plus the allowance for cuts, in one go.
