A trace of olive runs through the deep brown of Tarwin Stringybark, a matt rectangle, 50 x 150 mm. Each face carries a rounded capsule in relief, and the shadows pooling inside make the wall look carved, which suits a colour this earthy.
Our kitchen render pairs it with a timber shelf, and it is a wall tile made in Italy. Lay it on end in a running bond for a splashback, and the capsules form a slow vertical rhythm up the wall.
