What you’re specifying
The material
Porcelain is fired denser and harder than ordinary ceramic: low water absorption, high resistance to scratching and frost, and a body that keeps its shape. It carries the colour through a long life on floors and in wet rooms.
The finish
A gloss glaze throws light back into the room, so a small space reads larger and a dark colour keeps its depth. It wipes clean in one pass and shows every ripple in the tile, which on a handmade edge is the point.
The format
At 60x240 mm this is a long, narrow piece. Stacked vertically it lifts a wall; laid in a running bond it reads classic; herringbone turns it graphic. The joints carry much of the look, so set them out from the centre.
The colour
tonally this sits in the green family. Light changes everything with tile, so hold a sample on your own wall across a day before you commit.

Nearest Mapei colour
120 Black
Mapei Ultracolor Plus, for joints up to 20 mm.
Mapei makes no colour close to this glaze. This one sits nearest in depth, so the joint reads as a shadow line.

Measured from the tile photo against Mapei's colour chart and checked against the photo. Screens show colour differently, so check the grout against a real tile before you buy. Mapei colour chart
Laying notes
Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
