A cenere grey subway tile, 65x200 mm, made in Italy with a gloss glaze. Tone varies from tile to tile, so a kitchen splashback or bathroom wall reads soft and layered.

Laying notes
Half offset (running bond) is the classic. A one-third offset suits longer tiles and softer finishes, a straight stack reads modern, and a vertical stack lifts the eye. A contrasting grout makes herringbone graphic.
